Winter Shadows
Within the winter it was raining shadows
Watery snowflakes turning, sleeping
Another faraway day into intimacies of gray
Words whirled away some say a distant storm
A frozen timeless plea became a sea of ghosts
Almost motionless yet all was fallen
And we were only dreams speaking in riddles
Within the winter it was raining shadows. . .
