THE BEDFORD INN - NOW MY LOCAL (A Work In Progres)

There's a converted pub I now call my local
Now no longer a pub - public house - as such
As once it would have been referred too as in the past
Now more kinder like the - a bar the French way - yet very British-English
People like honeybees attracted there cross polarities
Artist of every kind - writers poetry like me and prose - painters - songsters - song Writers - song singers
All can be found hanging on to every word spoken there - a circle of the well met
Conversations on all and every possible subject
Strangers till you open the door - till you order a drink mines a Coffey others a beer
A glass or a bottle of wine
Two sofas opposite each other separated by a Coffey table - fire lit a wood fire Burning in the fire grate comfy armchairs
Stools at the bar alcoves for to converse in
Then take a seat - soon the stranger - fines the self talking no longer feeling a stranger

Feels like being amongst good Friends well met
Such as I have found first talking with four woman that I had not met before
Conversations coverage many interests
Later a five woman with her partner came in and joined the happy band
And would you believe it - she instantly recognized - remembered me!
We had been at primary - junior school - junior high
Asked me were I in such such teaches class - that were back 1960 - 1964!
She recognized - remembered after all theses years!
Yes now The Bedford - is now my local!
