IT SNOWED A YEAR AGO

I were outside my abode after midnight
Having a last cigarette before retiring for the night
Street outside quiet pizza place across the road shut for the night
Convenient store too shut shutters looked to the ground
Cars parked up for the night
Cars fewer and fewer till none passed by has I drew on my cigarette
Lloyd a sleep in his bed - my sofa awaited me
The while I were a smoking a few flacks of snow fluted down landing on me
Snow passed through the yellow lights beaming from the street lights - eerie site
The street changed from dull gray to white the brown soil of patch of garden with Green weeds - too turned too virgin white - parked cars turning into uniform white
As suddenly the snow came - the snow vanished - melted - little prove it had snowed
At all
By the brake of day the street were clear of snow as like it had never snowed at all
Lloyd never got to see first and last snow of that winter in Ramsgate
