THE SPRING THE SUMMER OF 2020 (COMPLETED)
The Spring the Summer of Twenty TwentyWas all we could of have wished for
Oh so very hot delightful!
Yet we could only look outside
Our windows - walk mostly alone
Takeing the kids to Thanet sands a risk
We were supposed to keep a safe distance
No to mixing!
No shaking hands no hugging
Some adopted the Japanese custom of bowing!
Walking avideing others in fear suspicion of catching - COVID-19
Seeing others sneezing - a fear - as were
Coughing
Our selfs doing much the same
Look seeing others in fear in our eyes
Us saw that fear in theirs looking back
In their eyes looking our eyes looking back
No longer thinking they we were just suffering
Allergies - hayfever due to pollen in grass flowers
Back then we shivered in fear
Every sneeze every watering eye every cough
Feared back in Twenty Twenty
I dread to think of how many died from visiting
Spending time on the crowded sands of Thanet paddling
In the sea
Keeping a safe distance as we told to do - impossible!
No shaking of hands no hugging none of that back in twenty twenty
Wearing masks so never knowing if the person behind the mask
Were smiling or scowling back in Twenty Twenty!
In twenty there should of been fore site due to
Nineteen seventeen - Nineteen nineteen
