REACHING OUT

When we are feeling alone
Dejected rejected
Being happy
A distant memory
All is darkness
Tears fill our eyes
Run down cheeks

Like a waterfall
We reach out our hands
To touch anther's hand
The light of dawn
Lightens the darkness
Those hands are now not
Of strangers
Nay - now new friends
So well met

Exchange worming smiles
Dry each others tears
Gently hug each other
Sit side by side talking
Listening
Telling each other jokes
Laughing with each other
Life is good once more
Being happy once more
Came about by two hands
Reaching out

I enjoy this journey from darkness and loneliness to light and fellowship.
