WALK THE TALK - PRESIDENT-ELECT JO BIDEN'S SPEECH

Biden's speech
One thing saying
The right words
Truly inspiring
One thing
Speechafireing
Firing up those
Listening

It's another thing
Walking the talk
And then delivering

Maybe I'm a cynic
Just heard it all before
From what I have gathered
From American history
Great speeches given
Yet little delivered

Woodrow Wilson
From the South - Virginia
Made promises
None were kept
Under him
Jim Crow Laws
Had William M Trotter thrown out
Mr. Trotter a leading campaigner for civil liberties
Under Wilson - came The Jim Crow Laws

Now for Kennedy - J F K
Came to power made great promises
Soon after he won The White House
He began to Back Track
When Johnson - L B J - became president
HE kept The Civil Rights PROMISES

Pardo me - I look too Vice President Elect Kamala for hope
