GIVEING & TAKEING - GOOD DEEDS
There are times you have to except takingWhen I were a kid - I were - eight - maybe nine
There were an elderly woman
Me mum look after her - she a widow of WW1
She were still stood tall age had not changed that of her
I ran errands for the still elegant old lady
One day she gave me money - a tip - I naturally - declined
She insisted I except her money - that I could never do!
On leaveing her prefab - her house her home
I in good conchance - put her coins though her letterbox
That week she killed her self - I know I'd pushed her over the edge
I learnt what is meant by what is said - ' kindness can kill '
Now even as I kid - I did not blame my self - I understood even as a child
I learnt there are times when you have to take ' cos by taking you make
The giver feel good inside
Later in life I used to visit a man of age who's site were falling him
I'd run errands for him shopping that kind of thing - he'd give a pound
I treated the old lad to a cheese roll - some times it would be a ham roll
So giving taking & giving back - both ov us very happy by all of that!
Lessons & experiences of the past remembered to this very day.
