Of The Night
She went walking sideways once between shadowed corners of the nightLike an incense mist flowering whispers alone inside twisted windowpanes
Outside the world was crawling by the sprawling eye looking not to see
We were talking again but somehow something really was or was not there
It may have been the wings the light blue feathers that she wore
So casually, so elegantly apropo
It may have been a dream, yes maybe but still I don't know
Where we thought we were or how it came to be
All the days went quickly by like trains or stones, trees, clouds like wrong or right
She went walking sideways once between shadowed corners of the night
