THOSE WHO TAKE A DIG

Those who take a dig at others work
Take a poke - mock - make fun of
Are paying a complement - though not their
Intent - back handed be it so - is true
They are jealous in green they dress

So smile & carry on as you are
Your doing right all the same!
Write on - to spite - despite them distracters !

I was frightfully bullied at school for a time. My mother, a school Principal, advised me that bullies and the like were such because the knew their own inadequencies and had a need to hide these by picking out the weaknesses of those around them. So I guess, yes, if you want to find fault in me then you will; but you would do well to look to your own faults first.

I think this piece says that.

Thank you Ken and your poetic words, ever so cleverly displayed has made it clear that what is intended to be salt in one's wound actually helps in the healing. Today I learned a new expression from you pertaining to the word "dig". Yeah it's true that people who see your greatness and relentless efforts from the heart by doing the things you love to do. You were and still are a nice guy with powerful messages lending food for thought without long speeches and complicated situations. Though others may not desire to admit it; envy and jealousy alway arrives wearing green, spewing thoughts and hidden clues of wanting to be like the fellow they dig but lack the courage to walk in their shoes. This is one of your greatest poems for it in itself is a lifelong clarification of who some people truly are. Excellent work. Thanks for the wisdom.
