Deep Deep Blue
The skies are still singing or burning the seas still churningA deep deep blue tune so far out so ancient so new
So close to perfection a rose of selection with dew
Hanging on in mirror like reflection a tilted confection to view
Oh Angel of Babylon your dear Bride hidden deep within a shallow bed of Light
Cryptic texts of atomized words engraved into the pearly covers of her skin
Wave now good-bye your eyes are gone away
Looking backwards into the trees that sway
Mysterious riddles of sound chant an esoteric cult of numbers in the leaves
Making lines of words too empty to repeat
Making life a crime and stepping on the beat
Hanging on in mirror like reflection a tilted confection to view
So close to perfection a rose of selection with dew
A deep deep blue tune so far out so ancient so new
The skies are still singing or burning the seas still churning
A deep deep blue tune . . .
