I SET SAIL

As a child of the seas of life I set sail without charts
Let the currents wind & tides decide where I sailed
Hope for a following wind
Where my boat went - to what seas sailed too
Keeping an even keel as best I could
Took me into the doldrums at times
Trade winds blew - took me there
Had my share of squalls
Called in to many ports - harbors of many lands
Sometimes I am becalmed - follow the trade winds
Get caught up by roaring forties
Often to battle through the eye's typhoons
Sailed close to wrecking rocks
Heard the songs of The Sirens
Been shipwrecked at times
From the wreckage - built myself a boat - sailed on
Heaved to till the seas were good & safe to continue my voyage
More hurricanes - tempests - gale force winds - to face
My voyage an adventure - at times misadventures
When a port is not to my liking I cast off set sail move on

And now as old man of the seas of life
My boat continues sailing upon the seas of life
Strangers to meet Friends to make

I like it. You've extended the sailing imagery quite well. Bravo!
