i lay under the stars
dew-soaked
admiring fireflies and the celestial display
mosquito-bit
summer triangle above
vega blue-white
in lyre, denab in cygnus
altair in aquila
sleep wouldn't come
the old familiars soothed
polaris, ursa major, ursa minor, cassiopea
sleep wouldn't come
familiar sounds
bull-frogs
a faint siren, coyotes
soothed
sleep wouldn't come
the sky lightened
