Words That Fail
Someone with a picture, painting pretty words that failHer eyes were like two dreaming stars her mouth a work of art
The waves of sound that were her voice, tourniquet for my heart
Began to bleed each time she spoke
Drops of wonder at a love that never dimmed
Died to hear the way her voice broke
Into astral spectrums of Light morning limned
Living now to miss her, more the pity, drawn and pale
Is the Sun that rises full of promises false as state
All is done, surprises, painful memories, such is fate
Her eyes were like two dreaming stars her mouth a work of art
Someone with a picture, painting pretty words that fail . . .
