A Spotlight
Wake up in the dark of night with a spotlight in your eyesMoonbeams caving in the bedroom window dissolving
Worlds revolving just underneath the breath you hold
Just beyond the ragged brink of hidden memories exhale
Pale as a face once loved and lost, apparitions appear to be
A ghost in your arms, a kiss sweet as blood and dreams
Fear crawls like ice upon the skin of your thoughts so blurred
Nothing is as it once was or perhaps never actually occurred
Only time to mark the sight of what once was as it dies
Wake up in the dark of night with a spotlight in your eyes
