At the time I wrote this I had a tiny slither of a poem. I met a man who wasn't there by Hugh Mearns. which is now in the public domain. That I had heard on the old TV. You decide if its plagiarism, If it is then I will strike this from my list.

WHO'S THERE

I thought I never met a man
While sitting on the stairs.
Then when I looked again,
I knew he wasn't there.

When I looked about me,
It really was a pain.
He didn't try to tell me,
He wasn't their again.

He's the tallest short person
That I know I've never seen,
I'm sure that he is very fat
While keeping very lean.

I know he didn't talk to me
while standing on his head.
The thing that I'm most sure of,
It was nothing that he said.

I knew he wasn't there,
while playing in the rain.
Then when I turned around,
He wasn't their again.

I know I've never seen him,
while standing in the house.
Why can't he leave me alone,
And bother someone else.
