THERE WERE THIS OLD BLOKE

Old bloke
Old geezer
Had somert
To say
And say it
He did say it
Stood at the counter
Talking airing his views
His opinion giving it large
Talking with young woman standing across the counter
He kept looking behind checking to see if a Q forming
He saw a woman standing behind him
He said sorry love, the traditional British usage of words
' No ', the woman said ; ' I'm listening to both '
So we did just carry on with our conversation me and Clair
The store were book store after all!
The old bloke had much to convey - Clare keen to listen - & say
