Wrote this to take my mind of wife's operation.

THE TRAVELLER Part 3 Otherworld series

Sitting very still,
Inside my aching head.
Not wishing to stir,
As though my feet,
Were made of lead.

Pensively waiting
In this silent room.
The world rushes by,
As I Leap upon my
Metaphoric broom.

Waiting to be taken,
As no other can.
To travel dimensionally,
To some far and distant land.

Whilst staying in this space,
Striving to be free.
The conscious,
Is a funny place to be.

This mortal frame,
Caught in time.
Travelling very quickly,
Into the pathways of my mind.

Moving faster now,
Through the synapses of my brain.
Being whisked away,
To a world no longer strange.

To look across this putrid sky,
Of crimson green, Grass a purple blue.
Two moons shinning down so bright,
On days that seem to few.

With a withered sun,
That tells you if its night.
Looking up, Feeling
Speckled translucent rain.
I smile, At last I'm home again.

one trick pony The PoetBay support member heart!
It's always good to come home! (Or, almost always.)

A magical poem. I prefer to ride a magic carpet, myself : )
