Inside Yourself

Inside yourself is someone else
No one knows the you, you know
See the eyes seeing only inside out again
Mark the time with paper written blood red pen
Touch the scars upon your soul with reverent disgust
Like Childhood's razors that could never cut through
The harsh, dull ache of rejection and abuse
Someone claims to love you who has no clue
What is there to excuse or accept ?
Every life exists in mists of doubt and pain
An only love pleads for one more light to smile
For what you ask, in this night below that dies ?
Just as a spark of dreams burns to cinders of rust
I trust you know me as yourself
Inside myself is someone else . . .

I like your inside-out view of yourself, and the idea of perception in general.
