Alice Oh Alice
Behind the glass saw youDancing in a field of stars whirling through a grassy sea
Looking for the you, you knew
Seeing you were not the same as all the blades that grew
Tall until the quivering skies tilting western carousels
Where cowboys and indians forgot to water their rides
Before mirage and desert went from without to inside
Alice Oh Alice,
Turn around twice, step backwards and stop
Feel the path grow beneath your feet
A cat is waiting to speak if you wish
With words inferred in smoke rings entwined
Within a mirror's still reflection
Cursive and blanks
Domino ranks
Written in midnite blue
Behind the glass saw you
