WORLD'S APART
When you lookDown on earth,
From your universe.
I wonder what you see,
Are you looking
For someone special.
Of this I often doubt,
If there's intelligence
Life out there.
Would it ever work out.
Or are you just curious,
Trying to find someone,
Just like yourself.
It's not something
I'd wish to delve.
Or is the universe empty,
Off intelligence life.
Of this I do believe,
With so many barren earth's,
Out there waiting for us to seed.
Then again what would we do,
What would we say.
If life from another planet,
Wasn't white or black,
Just a touch of grey.
With building blocks that came,
On asteroid's and meteorites,
To some this sounds insane.
I believe unequivocally,
That we could all look the same.
If we on our event horizon find life,
Or they find us I hope mankind,
Has grown up enough.
For if the inevitable was up to me,
I would love to be around to see.
