broken heart, i've felt it, too

i'm so sorry

this poem comes seven years after writing my first piece as lynn, 'white bird,' on poetbay.

my terri

i think of a sweater or a scarf

unraveling

one row at a time   row upon row

yarn falling to the floor

the history

of that sweater or scarf

disappearing

the stories

the memories

the touches

the warmth

going

going   gone

so

terri unraveled me
