MISTLETOE MILLIE CAN PART TWO

Millie met a stranger one day,
No one knew his name.
Her world turned upside down,
It would never be the same.

Jack tar they called him,
A bonded sailor was he.
One more trip across the ocean,
Then no longer bonded he would be.

For he explained to her,
A sailor he wished not to be.
The only good in his life,
Was her and learning how,
To tap dance out to sea.

He couldn't wait to be free,
He told her he would marry her.
"So my darling I'll be back,
If you agree to marry me.

The ship sank that night,
Beckoned onto rocks.
By the sirens of the sea.
" Please let me live, He pleaded.
My true love waits for me".

How she cried and cried,
As they laughed and jeered.
On the day they told her,
Her lover boy had died.

She stood up no one could stop her,
She knew she would never be a bride,
The anger and the hatred she felt,
The blackness came from deep inside.

Thunder, lighting, Torrential rain,
Hit that tavern on the shore.
Millie Can danced a dance,
As no one danced before.

Many lost their lives,
Others tried to flee.
Millie Can spoke.
"The hatred that you gave.
Made this monster out of me".

That was the night,
She became a creature of the sea.
And vowed she would stay that way,
" Until my lover tap dances back to me".
