What I did not know
I did not know what love was
Until I felt your heart pass
Through my tattered Soul
searing Every fibre cold
I did not know what care was
Until I witnessed your watch-full
Testimony to your faith
Displacing the eyes of hate
I did not know what a smile was
Until your face laughed warmth cast
Into an aura of invincible peace
That sates feelings of lost place
I did not know what loving touch was
Until your arms were wrapped
Around me and your head
Securely lay on my chest
I did not know what strength meant
Until your certain measure spent
A lasting sense of right and wrong
That scatters judging begone
I discovered real care and affection
That discards previous perception
Of what That really meant
Until I met a flame heaven sent
