Honey Brown
A honey brown little boyDeep soulful brown eyes
That reach deep inside
Sad and joyful all at once
As if those innocent windows have seen
More than they should
Loved by a multitude
Pale as a sea of white linen
Each wants to give a piece of them
As if they desire to see
An outcome that spans time and place
That exceeds expectations
Yet sadness is intermingled with the joy
Of knowing one so small, so fresh, so dear
Prayers of thanks for the time allowed
Pass our lips charged with emotion
The time is so brief yet, it seems an eternity
Until our time comes again.
