CAROL AND ME

Some of my poems are from,
Mine and my carol's ill gotten past.
We had earlier days, both of us loved,
She was the step daughter.
Her dad was sent early,
To the heavens above.

She had two elder sister's.
Not wicked as yet.
Her father was gone,
Her mother was spent.
For no fault of her own,
Carol to the orphanage sent.

Me being dyslexic,
dyscalculia weren't the easiest days,
I was loved but bullied each day.
A lifetime had passed,
We found one another.
It was meant to be,
Me  with her, Her with me.

Both families thought,
Our love wouldn't last.
But it sure did,
Despite of them and our past.
The love we hold is very special,
It never will end and will always last.
