Wood Fragment
A little marionette shambled out to greet the new dawnIt's head was wooden with block cut dreams
It saw with frozen beady eyes, it's face was drawn on,
And on it dreamed
Of water colour skies
Of other shady schemes
&lemon poppy pies
Or so it seemed,
'My fellow Amarionettes it screamed'
In a voice sandpapery smooth
'Lend me your minds and souls,' it said
'C'mon man, what you got to lose ?'
