Both hope for a place where dreams do not die
But in their heart of hearts they know it's a lie
To believe in love forever bright and true
Cold and lonely is the night that runs into
This tangled world of snarled dead ends is fraying
All those plans written in the sands delaying
An inevitable conclusion of chemistry and blood
May not be just precisely as what is understood
He waits still by his screen of open pages
Tomorrow was over yesterday takes ages
He wishes she were the one he wishes she were
She writes for s.o.m.e.o.n.e...
