I too love the idea of a black and white rainbow,
I've often wondered if anyone noticed.
Two types of star's shine at night,
One extremely bright.
The other as black as night,
Just like your painted rainbow.
All colours of the spectrum,
Painted in black and white.
Thanks for sharing, Regards Alan

"Summer with Monika" is a 1953 Ingmar Bergman film. In an early scene, one of many "still" scenes, almost photographs, Bergman captures a rainbow. The film was shot in black and white.

The idea of a black and white rainbow stuck with me, and without reaching any conclusions about it, other than it did stick with me and has given me something to consider, I wrote this poem to capture the moment.
