Rain To Fall
Standing in a field she wasWaiting for the rain to fall
Even if the drops were small
Later on that night a pause
Latent in the breath like sighs
Smoky signals with reprise
Her eyes flashed silent words aways
To find the time to catch the phrase
Used to objects often less than clear
Watch her subjects fade and disappear
Even if the drops were small
Standing in a field, she was
Waiting for the rain to fall . . .
