Two & HALF HOURS!
Today I had turned into Ramsgate Harber Street
Got as far as Crustys - a baker's - hence it's name
When I saw a man fall, without any hesitation I ran to help
At the same time, a lady having lunch also saw the man fall
A third woman also witnessed the fulling man
Waid 21 stone, a lot of weight to have on his ankle
Blind in one eye - his name is Gareth
On viewing - the ankle visibly swelled up before our very eyes!
No warning of the step from the pavement onto the road
No bright yellow on the corb as a warning - to beware!
We did our best to help, got the man to his feet
A call made 999, he wer told an ambulance would arrive
IN TWO AND HALF HOURS TIME - FOR FUCKS SAKE!
While on the phone - TWO MORE LOST THEIR FOOTING!
Oh is the times we live in & suffer in!
