WISH
Wish I could quench my thirst to write,Couldn't find my mind tonight.
Thought I'd looked everywhere,
Maybe its cowering under a chair.
Not wishing to understand writer's blight,
Wish I could quench my thirst to write.
Wish I could end this drought,
Really I need to write.
paper baskets empty,
As is myself.
Nothing coming out,
Wish I could end this drought.
Wish I could sleep through the night,
Waking up wanting to write.
Seems I have a insomniac curse,
I cannot find a single verse;
Wish I could sleep through the night.
Wish I could write what it's like,
Being born turning into a lad.
Then a married man with kids,
And a grandson too out of the blue.
Wish I could write what it's like,
No wait I think I just did.
