Rainbow raindrops
I don't know why,I think like I do.
Waking up in solitude,
No that's not true.
Different thoughts,
Run through my head.
My mind's the investigator,
Am I live or am I dead.
Guess I'll have to check,
The obituary column later.
Until then do you,
Like me wonder why.
Nobody sees a rainbow,
When it dies.
Was that rain that appeared,
From a near cloudless sky.
Or coloured raindrops,
From a rainbows eye.
With rainbow thoughts,
Running through my head.
I see flowers in a multitude,
Of colours in my mind's eye.
Then I suddenly realised,
Where rainbow's go.
As they drop from,
The daylight sky.
I'd like to see instead,
A rainbow during night.
Knowing that could never be,
There all tucked up in bed.
