UNFINISHED THOUGHTS
Many times on poetry,I would have a unconscionable,
Conscionable thought.
I'd love to finalise them,
Somewhere down the line.
Don't think I can continue,
Think my mind is going blind.
These are the few left unfinished,
For no reason at no particular time .
I know there's Life on Mars,
I've seen it growing...
On my chocolate bar.
I like to see the lightning paused,
Waiting for the thunderclap,
To give it a round of applause.
Sometimes I wonder,
When the storm brews,
Can it make me a cuppa too.
It's nice to hear the summer rain,
Tapping gently on the window pane,
Drumming down like crimson rain.
To all the poets that I've read,
Thanks for illuminating the muscles,
Kept within my head.
Sincerely yours Alan J Ripley
