A crack in the cliff at North Foreland
The cliff will crack open any day now
Maybe during the night - maybe sooner
The cliff of Chalk will come crashing down
On to the sand below
The sea will reclaim yet more of
The Isle of Thanet - just a part of
The doomsday of global warming
Thus it is as it is - Thanet sooner than expected
A danger to shipping - as the Isle Of Goodwin became
Then the population of Thanet
Will become unwanted migrants - refuges on the mainland
