the grey green sea

the grey green sea
battling back unwanted
children in froth foaming waves
pushed back
adults wondering what to
or not to do
not that the sea cares
it whips and wanders
those with plan
how dare they
a million years
I've covered this sand
these rocks that humans think are theirs
never
never
when humans lose the battle
they created
I'll be here
yes here I'll be

Alan J Ripley The PoetBay support member heart!
Love the way you conveyed the anger of the sea,
As a unrelenting adversary waiting for the
demise of man. Regards Alan

jim The PoetBay support member heart!
I love the way you convey the power, relentless, of the sea.

Standing on the shore of the Pacific in Oregon, the ocean left an indelible remembrance of raw, fierce, unstoppable power.
