We're being hit hard by weather extremes to the detriment of livelihoods.
Genderless, Uncaring Nature
Nature will out, it may not be pretty.
They will pull you in, lure you
With blossoms and scents, stunning
And alluring, all the while keeping
A card metaphorically up its sleeve,
Waiting to play it, it being the deluge,
The drought, the tsunami, the quake;
Oh, it is pretty when it is pretty,
Oh, it is ugly when it is not; and we
Can do nothing but play along,
Glory in the visuals and inhale
The alluring while they are here,
And they are here, but it is a tease,
The card is a joker, the joke is on us.
