THE GIRL NEXT DOOR

Well I can't stay in bed all day,
Have to get up and make some brunch.
For those of you that don't know
what that is,
It's breakfast as well as lunch.

Saw that pretty girl next door,
The one in the cling film pants.
How I'd like to sweep her up,
She could lead me quite a dance.

I'm pretty sure that if I did,
She would surely take offence.
There will always be obstacles
between the two of us,
Not just age but the garden fence.

She'll never know how it thrill's me so,
Just because she stop's and says hello.
Could lose my way when her face lights,
My darkness within turn's forever bright.

Think my carol feels the same it's nice,
Having someone you'd like to call daughter.
Living life over the garden fence,
Hopefully if she reads this she'll never take
offence.
