HAUNTED HOUSE

The stairs didn't stare,
The carpet rolled up.
The floorboards creaked,
The tap sprung a leak.
The door slammed shut,
The walls got plastered.
The windows shut up,
The rocking chair rocked.
The house couldn't speak,
All because;
The mouse gave a squeak.
