INTO THE UNKNOWN WAYSTATION PART 2

Beyond this biosphere,
There's a empty void.
A blackness so great,
What if we crossed it?
Would that be man's
Greatest mistake:

There's dark matter,
With other creatures.
Living inside of it,
Like the darkest seas on earth.

There was a poet that wrote,
Wish I could remember names.
Long dead and almost forgotten,
They all thought him a little insane.

When he wrote in verse,
As mankind traversed the universe.
It was the earth that was the map,
What if he was right.
Maybe the void was like a desert,
I thought about this the other night.

A barrier between two lands,
Only this time between the stars.
To a place not found in our universe,
The beginning of the multiverse.
Maybe by crossing the barrier,
We will travel from earth to earth.

Not literally to conquer a newland,
Just to cross the darkest seas in space.
But to find a species like us,
For that would be the the true nature
of man, In a multi universe.
