TO ALL THE UNKNOWN READERS OF POETRY (and to brother in arms ken).
All though there's very little,Let me tell you about the poetry.
That surprises me in a cascade
of thoughts,
That I've written down the line.
Sometimes it really surprises me,
That you folk out there like to read.
The scribbles I call rhymes,
Are all a part of my insanity.
To me your heroes every one,
Most of my poems are like snuff.
Should be taken one pinch at a time,
Imagine my surprise. When I
realised someone out there,
Actually likes my rhymes.
First month on poetbay,
How proud was I.
That my readers reached,
The grand prize of fifty two.
Last week it reached,
Over twelve hundred.
Just for one week,
Which really surprises me.
That people take time to read,
Are truly the one's to galvanise me.
Into wanting me to write more,
I just like to say thanks to everyone.
Now I'd like to talk,
To the old man of the sea.
The one who writes his best,
When it's in poetry.
Hi Ken Williams yes I know
Who you are,
To me your like Methuselah.
The old dog of rhymes,
With over a million and a half
readings. Worthy of a read
I'd say, Me trying to catch up.
Be wary of this young pup,
Look out for me.
For somewhere down the line,
With all my poeteers gaining
Ground. I'm here to steal your crown,
With the kindest regards Alan.
