IF ONLY
If I had won this week's lotteryThe things that I could do.
I could buy a new set
Of newspapers, To keep me warm.
As well as covering the hole in my shoe,
I could sleep in the poshest places.
Or cuddle up with my girlfriend Jenny,
On a park bench made for two.
We could dine at the best soup kitchens,
That would be the thing to do.
If only I won the week's lottery,
I could buy new wheels for my trolley.
Some new bristles for her hairbrush,
I could buy a lighter for my dog ends.
Been lucky this week really found a few,
Oh only if I had the money to buy a ticket;
I could dream a dream or two.
