30 October,

For my Carol's 70 years young birthday

Baby please don't turn out the light,
Let me gaze into your loving eyes.
Although we almost never met,
Felt i've loved you most of our lives,

Two hearts beating as one together,
Let's be lovers forever and ever.
Forever sharing all our togethers,
Even in stormy weather.

Entwined as lover's should forever be,
Let us bath in one another tonight.
There can never be an us without you,
Baby please don't turn out the light.
When we are together,
Wonderful happens.

I agree with Marie, it only gets better, the passion, willingness, and generosity deeper.

Happy birthday to Carol and best wishes. I will be hitting the same milestone in two weeks.

>sigh<
This is so romantic and warm. I love the lines,
'There can never be an us without you',
and
'When we are together
Wonderful happens'.

Who says the young have a monopoly on passion?
Bravo!

Reminds me of that song "Something Changed" by the British band, Pulp.

Love the song and this poem.
