Poking fun at myself is my coping
Mechanism.
Looking at my child bride.
Sleeping peacefully next to me,
51 years later, 70 Years young.
Many years have passed by,
She's still my favourite way
of passing time.
The Alzheimer doctor asked me,
"Have I got any pastimes"
I replied. " Yes my wife ".
She said. " No have you any hobbies?".
I smiled as I said, " Yes my wife ".
Still trying to get me to answer,
She asked. " What exercise do you do? ".
Me answering her back said. " My wife ".
To which the doctor said.
" That was a complete bloody waste of time! ".
I replied " Strange, That's what the wife always says ".
