Down time no up sign

Today's the day come one and all,
The dementia team are coming
to call. Will there be anyone
Their to catch me if I fall,
Don't really care about one
and all. There's a sunami
going off within my head,
Can't hide myself from few,
Facing fears is all I do.
Don't know what when or where,
Not sure really if I care.
My life's a speckled piece of sand,
Washed away from a single land.
On a single planet held loosely
In god's right hand, Maybe that's
How he washes our sins away,
Making us forget ourselves.
The come what mays.
No past regrets whatever
memories that pass away.
I've loved and hated every single day,
The bullying never really goes away.
There are a few things that I'll miss,
Like remembering carol's first
tender kiss.
The kindness I've been given
Along the way. Not just by people,
But friends I've made on poetbay.

A brilliant piece of poetry, Alan. The reflections you make in your metaphors are very poignant. Bravo my friend. It doesn't have to go away, it might just seem as though it has, but it will be waiting to be born again.
Blessings, Allen

"My life's a speckled piece of sand"

--- it was William Blake who led us "To see a World in a Grain of Sand / And a Heaven in a Wild Flower" ...

Your grain of sand shines, Alan, in this beautiful and poignant poem.
