tanka

withering, falling

summer's orange now winter's bruise

frost-nipped persimmons

oh so sweet, a bushel now

portends a cold night's pudding

Such a lovely poem, and I thought it captured winters comfort. perfectly.

However.........a small error: eight syllables on the second line, if we take summers as two.
