Like The Snow
Ghost in a window
The streetlight shines low
Eyes like a question
Her face like the snow
There is no one there to ask her
To come inside to share a glow
To compare some lines of answer
For no one there shall ever know
Time wheels turning leaden
Footsteps spinning silver to straw
Blacklight behind a mirror
No one to see,
Fingers and toes soon deaden
No feeling until the thaw
Insides a wintry furor
Her eyes glassy
