ANOTHER GLORIOUS NIGHT

I know it was cold last night,
Watching the clouds shivering
at first light.

The clouds today no individual
forms,
Think there all huddled together,
To keep themselves warm.

Even the mighty English oak
Says this cold crisp air is new.
It's shaking while it's shivering,
Even it's branches are turning
blue.

The chattering cold wind chill is here,
The moons still out Saturn's near.
It's going to be a cold old day,
Batwings flapping that I hear.

The birds of dawn have taken flight,
It's going to be another cold night.
The time for me to huddle and cuddle,
Up to my darling wife, So for me.
Another glorious night.

It is a glorious night, and if the sky is clear tomorrow night you may see the Geminids meteor shower outside your window.

So winsome, so companionable, the sentences simple but luminous with exactitude. Sharp as winter, one might say!
