That living standards in Britain
Returning to old Victorian times!
Times they are returning back!
Oh what the Dickings!
Here we go again - as if nothing changes
That remains the fucking same!
Food banks becoming the norm!
Vicktotorean - the 1930s - soup kitchens!
More and more reliant on charity!
Nothing colder than charity as someone once said!
Nothing changes, that remains the same old same old!
Is it no wonder Fascism is on the rise yet again?

Fascism feeds off all of that!

How very true, Ken. Brilliant piece of societal poetry. But we must remember this isn't/hasn't just happened, it has been 'engineered', Those in 'power' grow ever richer. Your talk of soup kitchens, my brain thinks 'work houses'! Thank God in the UK there is still an electoral system - the people need to be much, much, much more discerning in their selections and choices... look beyond the smokescreens. I'm a great believer in looking at people's eyes. Very very difficult to effectively mask the truth of intent in a person's eyes. My old grand daddy would have said, 'I wouldn't buy a second hand bike from him/her!'
