I HAVEN'T WRITTEN IT YET
I've had it written about me basically,For some unfathomable reason.
About my scribbles my poetry,
My mind has brought this to the fore.
Someone said. "What an interesting poem,
I haven't heard that one before".
I take all the jumbled word's,
Including the ones I've never heard.
Never counting the ones I've got,
Rearranging them quite a lot.
Like a puzzle growing from a tree,
To see which one fits my poetry.
Some coagulate as I start to write,
While others drift apart.
Some are the property of my mind,
With many that I write.
As I live and breathe,
Are the property of my heart.
Some come crashing down,
While some illicit a smile.
Many are quick to write,
While others keep me up all night.
For when the ideas begin to flow,
I try to never let them go.
For when I wake up at dawn's light,
Many poetic thoughts are gone.
Which is there indomitable right,
So there's no need to fret.
If you haven't read it before,
It's probably because I haven't
written it yet.
