WRITTEN FOR MY LOVE FOR OUR UPCOMING ANNIVERSARY
To grow old gracefully,To make friends with all our germs.
To soar in the sky like a butterfly,
To shake hands with a common
earth worm.
There are many things in time,
That we wish that we could do.
But I found my forever thing,
That was falling into you.
As we grow older there's,
Not much more to say.
We've shared one another,
In so many different ways.
Walking hand in hand,
As I begin to glance round.
I see many people that have found,
love like ours that shines all around.
Oh but when we die wonders that we see.
Will we transcend together knowing,
The love in each others heart,
Or as our lives uncoil will we drift apart
Will you end in one place,
With me being in another.
Could we survive like waves upon the sea,
Being separated no longer being you and me.
Then you uttered the ultimate verse,
That would transcend heaven and earth.
"For all the spectral world to see,
I won't let you go your separate way.
For as we love each other so,
Your definitely coming with me".
They say home is where the heart is,
This I know is true.
There could never be a me,
If there wasn't a me and you.
Love you forever my darling wife,
Together we've had an amazing life.
I've truly loved only one my whole life through,
If you haven't guessed it yet.
It's definitely undeniable you.
P.s our children and grandson come a close second.
Love you always Carol,
From your hubby Alan.
